Poseidon uses the friction of the vessel’s own hull against the face of a floating friction plate. Poseidon is able to stop a vessels forward motion almost instantly. Using proprietary grip materials in conjunction with a unique design pattern on the face of Poseidon small boats come to a stop with little or no damage and become useless for attack. The propulsion system whether prop of jet based of the boat is physically lifted out of the water rendering it inoperable and its occupants stranded in the vessel. The Poseidon is capable of stopping multiple attacking vessels simultaneously and is equipped with a built-in detection grid capable of pinpointing the location of a captured boat or any trespass upon the barrier. Friendly sailors should have no fear of their vessels being severely damaged or crippled as the boat is simply grounded on the surface of the barrier and can be removed with assistance from a towing vessel.
